Herilino's Locker

Now that Andie can flip herself over back to front, she'll be spending a lot more time on her tummy until she figures out how to flip back the other way... ...but she's doing a great job of it:

Andie has been getting much more mobile lately. She is really good at spinning in circles while on her back, and she's getting better and better at tummy time. Last night, she was on her back on a blanket in the living room, and Jason went into the kitchen briefly to prepare some fish for dinner. When he returned, she was on her tummy! After dinner, she demonstrated her new trick. Kristin managed to capture it on video: Andie continued to have fun showing off her rolling skills to our friend Olivia. At one point, Olivia said "Andie, roll over!" and Andie rolled over on command! This baby is amazing. Accomplishing this new milestone has clearly exhausted her, as it's almost 7:30 AM and she's still sleeping...

Andie tried out her bouncer today. She's still a bit small for it yet, but she had fun! Turns out lots of bouncing causes fatigue.

Hawkeye and Lorelei really hit it off during her visit, and he misses her bunches! They snuggled together... ... and played lots of fetch. Hawkeye appreciated that Lorelei nearly matched his stamina for playing fetch:

For the final day of Mike, Melissa, and Lorelei's visit, we took a trip to San Francisco to visit the Exploratorium. We rode the ferry from Larkspur to the city. A wide range of emotions were felt on the ferry ride. There was so much to explore at the Exploratorium! Jason tries to run through the rope loop he just created. He made it! This crazy mirror was lots of fun: Mike had to make sure to get as much sourdough in as possible before heading home. We are going to miss them so much, and we can't wait for the next time we can all get together!

We started off Father's Day with a trip to the park down the street. Andie decided swinging makes her sleepy. In the afternoon, we went to Armstrong Redwoods to check out the big trees. It was a warm day yesterday, so we got out the inflatable whale pool from Nana's book shower for the babies to play in. The water was a little cold for Andie at first. Andie liked watching Lorelei play in the water. Later, Ellie, John, and Judith came over for a dinner party. Lorelei helped grill the ribs. Andie sticks her tongue out at everything now, even Aunt Ellie. Andie sported her curl-over at dinner. Kristin made an ice cream cake in celebration of Father's Day.
