Happy Halloween!

Nana and Papa had their first full-day probationary babysitting session this week. Everyone survived! Kristin and Jason think they'll invite them back for another probationary visit next week. We had a week of serious Halloween fun. Andie dressed up for daycare in her orange tutu glitter pumpkin outfit (thanks, Piper!). And she wore her nondescript fuzzy ear vest for Olivia. Kristin matched Andie's Halloween spirit at the farmers market by dressing up as a tutu-wearing vampire shark. Jason made sure to put the "serious" in the serious fun. The paella at the farmers market was colored with squid ink for Halloween. Andie loved it. It even turned her into a bearded lady! Later, Andie decided she wanted to try out the shark fin, too. I think we'll be ready for trick-or-treating next year! EDIT: Also, we forgot to mention that Andie cut her 3rd tooth on Friday night! T...

Visit from Grandma

While Jason, Grandpa, Papa, and the rest of the crew were camping and fishing at Lake Almanor this weekend, Grandma visited to give baby Andie some snuggles. Andie and Grandma did lots of playing together... ...and had some cuddly snoozes, too. We went to a wonderful birthday party for our friend, Alex. Andie partied hard, as usual. The highlight of the party for Andie was meeting Mr. Wrinkles, the pot-bellied pig (thanks to Matt for the images!). The piggy sniffs Andie's piggies. Andie also go to hang out with both grandmothers for the first time since her first day of life. Andie is getting very efficient at pulling herself up to standing, and is even starting to toy with the idea of cruising. One of Andie's favorite things right now is watching the washer and dryer. Kristin is hoping this bodes well for her helping out with household chores soon. Of course, as long ...

Seven months old!

Andie turned 7 months old today! That means she's closer to being a year old than she is to birth. Crazy. She loves crawling and pulling herself up to standing. She has two bottom teeth, and she loves everything we've given her to eat, especially salmon and avocado (she's a California girl!). She's so mobile these days, it was difficult to get a photo of her with the squid, but we did the best we could! Team Herilino has been having lots of fun lately, as usual. Hawkeye recently dressed up in Jason's groom's man garb to show Uncle James support for his nuptials to Aunt Ellie. Andie has been having fun in the walker Nana and Papa bought for her. And she loves any household object that's the right height to support her standing activities! She also likes anything she can put in her mouth. Kristin and Jason are having fun, too. Who says romance is dead after a baby? Jason leaves notes on Krist...

Missing Nana & Papa

Nana and Papa moved into their new house last week, and while we're super happy they found a place to call home, it's sad to not have them living with us anymore. At least they're only across town instead of halfway across the country now! Andie and Hawkeye have been spending some quality time together. They enjoy chewing on their toys together. Sometimes they even enjoy chewing on the same toy. Andie got some new gear last week from baby Piper, including this adorable hat. Thanks Steve and Cecil! Hawkeye scored this neat new frisbee from Nana and Papa, which he carries in style. Kristin and Jason are still really missing their time in Trinity for James and Ellie's wedding. Suzanne took a nice photo of them while they were there. And Kristin missed this clip of Andie in the video she previously posted of the wedding weekend. Is it time to go back for an anniversary celebration yet???
