While Jason, Grandpa, Papa, and the rest of the crew were camping and fishing at Lake Almanor this weekend, Grandma visited to give baby Andie some snuggles.
Andie and Grandma did lots of playing together...
...and had some cuddly snoozes, too.
We went to a wonderful birthday party for our friend, Alex. Andie partied hard, as usual.
The highlight of the party for Andie was meeting Mr. Wrinkles, the pot-bellied pig (thanks to Matt for the images!).
The piggy sniffs Andie's piggies.
Andie also go to hang out with both grandmothers for the first time since her first day of life.
Andie is getting very efficient at pulling herself up to standing, and is even starting to toy with the idea of cruising.
One of Andie's favorite things right now is watching the washer and dryer. Kristin is hoping this bodes well for her helping out with household chores soon.
Of course, as long as Andie keeps enjoying playing Muppets with Kristin, she'll be a happy mama.
In closing, some photos from the fishing trip, courtesy of Jason and Papa.
The deck attached to the Herilino Annex was rotting away, so Uncle Chuck visited again to help give it an overhaul. Uncle Joe and cousin Karen generously helped out, and baby Andie even chipped in! Making a plan Demo nearly completed Adding new boards Finishing up the new railing Breaking for beer and strawberries More demo-ing Kristin and Andie were a little scared for Uncle Joe up there on those narrow old boards! Turning a deck into a roof Andie even helped to finish it all off! Ha, just kidding! That's Jason's Cabbage Patch doll up there. Did you really think Jason would carry the baby on the roof? Sheesh, what kind of parents do you think Kristin and Jason are? Jason and Elden This post was created especially for Nana and Grandma Jane. Our apologies for any adverse health effects it may have triggered.
There have been a lot of changes over the past six weeks in the Herilino household. Perhaps the biggest is that Nani and Papa moved out! We were so happy to take them in after the fire, and we are even happier that they have found a new place of their own to call home (especially because it isn't in Iowa). They are again just a short drive away in Santa Rosa, and they even promised to still babysit one day a week. Nani and Papa really enjoyed spreading out after being relegated to such tight quarters at the Herilino house. Although they didn't have too much stuff to move, Andie helped them unpack some of their new things. She liked how the packing material stuck to their clean windows. They don't have much in the way of furniture yet either, but Nani and Papa made sure Andie felt comfortable by stocking their house with new toys, a kid's table, and a potty seat. We are already having lots of fun hanging out there. Andie loved trying ou...
Andie added pizza to her list of foods yesterday, doing right by her New York family heritage. Kristin spent her first night away from Andie last night to throw a bachelorette party for Auntie Ellie. Everyone survived! Andie seems to be pretty close to crawling these days, making Kristin and Jason wonder if they're going to have to dedicate some time to better baby-proofing soon.
