There have been a lot of changes over the past six weeks in the Herilino household. Perhaps the biggest is that Nani and Papa moved out! We were so happy to take them in after the fire, and we are even happier that they have found a new place of their own to call home (especially because it isn't in Iowa). They are again just a short drive away in Santa Rosa, and they even promised to still babysit one day a week.
Nani and Papa really enjoyed spreading out after being relegated to such tight quarters at the Herilino house.
Although they didn't have too much stuff to move, Andie helped them unpack some of their new things. She liked how the packing material stuck to their clean windows.
They don't have much in the way of furniture yet either, but Nani and Papa made sure Andie felt comfortable by stocking their house with new toys, a kid's table, and a potty seat. We are already having lots of fun hanging out there. Andie loved trying out the backyard bathtub!
We had fun sitting on the floor and in camping chairs to watch the Warriors on Papa's new TV (can you tell where his priorities are?).
Jack has made himself at home there already.
For Mother's Day, Kristin got Nani a wind spinner for their back yard in memory of Michael.
It even lights up at night!
As a going away present, Nani got Andie an amazing pool. Nani wanted to get a much larger one, but we talked her down to this smaller version.
Andie loves it! Here she is filling it up while still in her pajamas.
Scientist Barbie loves it, too. She is definitely living her best life at the Herilino house.
When Andie isn't in her pool, you can usually find her in her sandbox. Sometimes with her second best dress on.
She got to try on her best dress -- the one for Stephanie's wedding -- again. This one (hopefully!) won't be going in the sandbox, but she sure does love to twirl in it.
Andie does a good job of keeping everyone on their toes. For example, you still never quite know where you might find a baby doll in our house.
You also never know who you might find underneath a baby doll ...
... or a pile of toys.
Sometimes, the dolls come into bed. It can get a bit crowded.
Andie is doing a great job of sleeping all night in her own bed, but she still comes into cuddle with us in the morning sometimes.
She's been really into cosmetology lately. Papa was recently a client at her hair salon.
Kristin received a lip gloss pedicure, complete with a power drill buffing.
Kirstin feels pretty fancy with her shiny toenails driving around in her new car.
Jack was super helpful in picking out the new car.
The only downside of the new car is that it's Kristin's first car without a sunroof. She's sad that there will be no bug catching opportunities in this vehicle.
As summer nears, we've been getting lots of yard work done. We planted a garden, and we finally got a planter boat for the front yard, which Kristin has been excited about since we moved in.
We filled it with succulents from Kristin and Jason's wedding, the Estero, and other special occasions.
Andie has enjoyed helping with watering. We probably need to sit her down for "drought talk" soon.
Andie has had a lot of fun hanging out with Tashi lately. We all visited Redwood Hill Farm during Farm Trails a few weeks ago. The baby goats were soooo cute! The girls were even cuter with them.
Clearly, the adults loved hanging out with the goats as much as the kids did.
There were some baby chicks the girls got to hold, too ...
... and hay bails to climb.
Tashi and Andie discussed whether or not to perturb the bees. They settled on leaving them alone. It was probably a good decision.
They practiced running away anyway, just in case.
There was a fun tree swing near where we parked the car.
For the record, Kristin and Jack were also there, taking pictures and taking it all in.
Andie and Tashi have also enjoyed some excursions to the Sebastopol Farmers Market together.

They've also enjoyed a few trips to the Super Park.
We had Tashi, Jay, and Naomi over for Jason's birthday. Andie's Grandma Jane and Tashi's Grandma Jane also joined us.
Kristin made spaetzle and stroganoff for dinner and an ice cream cake for dessert.
Tashi's Grandma Jane got Jack an adorable Husky. This is about all the time he got with it before Andie whisked it away.
Kristin had a wonderful Mother's Day. She especially loved the card Andie dictated to Jason.
Andie also drew Kristin an abalone on her Boogie Board.
Kristin really loved putting together this fun Mother's Day gift from Jason.
Besides spaetzle, stoganoff, and ice cream, we've had lots of other wonderful eats over the past few weeks. We had Rita over for home made pizza.
And Nani made home made pasta.
We stuffed ourselves at the Camp Meeker Fire department's pancake breakfast.
Jack has started taking his first bites of food. He first tasted some avocado from Kristin's sandwich last weekend.
He checked with Andie to confirm it was OK to eat.
He wasn't so sure about it.
He has also tasted some banana, which he was equally tepid about. He's sure to be scarfing down cheddar bunnies as fast as Andie in no time.
Jack continues to be a super chill baby. He finally took his first swing in the BML baby swing, which has now been passed down through six BML babies.
Andie enjoys pushing him in it (G-E-N-T-L-Y, we reminder her, over and over).
Even though she has already started to torture him occationally, he sure does love his big sister. Look at how intently he looks at her!
Jack hit three months and four months old since the last post. Here are some of his three-month squid pictures.

He has started rolling over quickly and frequently, which has made taking photos a little more challenging.
He rolled over a couple of times at daycare about three weeks ago, and he's been at it like crazy ever since. He can make up some pretty good ground, too, which means it's getting harder to set him someplace and walk away. Here he is from start to finish moving across the bedroom floor.
He's growing fast, and part of that growth has been a change in is previously excellent sleep pattern. Hopefully the dreaded four month sleep regression does not last long. We would really enjoy having our 7 hrs/nigh back! He sure is cute though, even when he's not sleeping as well as he did for his first four months.
He has also been smiling, laughing, and talking up a storm. He loves to sing songs along with Kristin.
He was impressed!
He's been in a few times to check on Kristin's abalone.
He also helped give a tour of the lab to Kristin's old friend Keith, who was in her scientific diving course.
Andie still loves going to the lab, too.
She really cares for the fishes.
Andie had her first day of preschool last week. She loved it! She's going on Mondays and Fridays. She still goes to daycare with Jack on Tuesdays through Thursdays. She'll start going to preschool full time in the fall. On her first day, she insisted on bringing her backpack, which she filled with toys and a hat for Jack.
Kristin and Jason are excited that lunch is provided at preschool. On daycare days there are a whole lot of lunches to pack! This doesn't even include Jason's!
We are embracing all of the change that has occurred over the past six weeks, and we look forward to the many more changes to come!
